  • Bring warm clothing, as the temperature underground ranges between 14 and 16C
  • There are 800 steps to climb, and 350 of these are at the beginning, taking you down into the mine. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes
  • Smoking and the use of open fire in the mine is strictly forbidden
  • No animals are allowed in the mine. The mine does not offer any animal shelters of its own for your pets
  • Baby carriages and luggage larger than 30 x 20 x 10 cm are not permitted inside the museum - please leave them at your hotel
  • A wide range of comfortable vehicles are at your disposal, depending on the size of your group
  • Student ID is required for student tickets

The whole trip was most enjoyable. Our transport arrived promptly and our driver was friendly and informative. Our guide for the salt mine tour was brilliant. He was very friendly, witty and made the whole tour fun. His knowledge of the mine was incredible. Our transport back to Krakow arrived on time and again the driver was friendly. I can highly recommend this tour and honestly say it was very well organised and good value for money.

Absolutely brilliant trip. The booked time changed to an earlier time which did us a favour....thanks GetYourGuide for keeping us informed. Pick up near our apartment and the driver was excellent and explained what was going to happen and meeting points etc. The guide in the mine was outstanding (sorry I didn't get his name). Very informative with a brilliant sense of humour. He made the tour so so enjoyable. What a fantastic attraction.... we could go there again and again. Thanks everyone for making this tour a lasting memory.
