Planning Your Krabi Visit

When to go?

The weather in Krabi is best from late January to May: you'll find warm days and clear skies. If you between May and November, chances are high that your plans may get monsoon'd out. The weather tends to be hottest in April and rainy for the rest of the summer. January in Krabi is probably the best month to visit - the days are warm, the nights are cool and there is barely any rain.

How to get around?

Ferries, boats, taxis, and even motorcycle taxis and river taxis are great means of getting around Krabi. Fares are quite reasonable and transportation is available year round.

What People Are Saying About Krabi

Enjoyed the elephants but waterfalls a little disappointing

Good day out especially re the well cared for elephants but been to many better waterfalls.

Best elephant experience you will find in Thailand

Best elephant experience you will find in Thailand. The elephants walk you around untouched rain forests. We also go to play with the baby elephant which was very fun.

Krabi: Elephant Trekking and Huay Tho Waterfall Tour Reviewed by christie, 09/06/2016

very nice but more expensive than if you buy it directly there

The guide was very nice and the place very beautiful. There were only 3 people plus the guide. After lunch we went to Koh Hong, unfortunately it was raining. Even so, everything was great. I advise to take water shoes for Koh Hong as it's rocky in the water and you can hurt yourself. I also saw that the prices in any of the agencies in Krabi were much more competitive.

A good selection of sights and activities, well organised, great guide

A bit slow to get started from the gathering point, but the tour itself provided a great range, good lunch, well-paced with a great guide.
