Full description

Discover the quaint town of Zakopane, ride a cable car up to Gubałówka peak, marvel at the spectacular views of the High Tatras, and then revel in the healing waters of thermal springs on this 11-hour guided journey into the Polish mountains tour. Start your day with a pickup from Krakow and an escorted ride to Zakopane. On the way, visit the idyllic village of Chochołów, famous for its wooden houses which look almost identical. Learn about the traditions that keep these antique buildings looking new. Next, visit a Bacowka ─ a traditional shepherd’s hut ─ to try the regional cheese Oscypek and see how it is prepared. Eventually, reach Zakopane where you can explore the local old-school bazaar and famous Krupowki Street, filled with restaurants, local stores, and regional goods, as well as gift shops.

Ride a cable car from Zakopane to the top of Gubałówka and glimpse the Tatra Mountains. After exploring Zakopane your driver will transport you to the thermal pools in Białka Tatrzańska. Relax and enjoy the healing properties of warm thermal water before being driven back to Krakow.

Great day out would recommend to anybody visiting Poland. The views from the mountains were beautiful, the cheese tasting was lovely, the market stalls were nice and sellers were not pushy! lots of shopping, great insight to the wooden houses and how polish residents live. A costly trip but justified with transport from hotel included and a great driver who is so happy to answer questions about the culture and history of Poland.

We really enjoyed the day trip to Zakopane. It was different and broke up busy sight seeing in the city. The stop in the shepherds hut is interesting and the views from the top of Zakopane are great. We really enjoyed the thermal baths- if only there were places like that in the uk! Was lovely relaxing in the outside swimming areas where there is also a bar in the water. Worth whole day out and we really enjoyed it and it was really well organised

It was the best excursion we’ve ever been on, on any holiday! The whole experience was amazing - the cheese tasting, the cable car, time in zakopane, but most of all the thermal pools. It was better than we could’ve imagined and our guide Wojtek was so helpful and nice. Couldn’t recommend this outing enough! An absolute must if you’re going to Krakow!
