Discover one of the Yucatan's most unique attractions on this full-day tour from Merida to the cenotes of Cuzama. See a Mayan pyramid, Spanish colonial buildings, and old haciendas as you discover and swim in the famous cenotes.
What to Expect
Enjoy a fun-filled, full-day trip from Merida to visit 3 beautiful cenotes near the village of Cuzama.
The natural wonders of the state of Yucatan are innumerable, and among the most unusual are the cenotes, underground limestone caverns filled with fresh, cool water.
En route to the cenotes, stop by the town of Acanceh to see ancient Mayan ruins, including a three-leveled step pyramid, and a Gothic-style, 18th-century church.
Afterward, arrive in Cuzama and explore the ruins of an old hemp plantation. Then climb aboard a rail-mounted horse-drawn buggy that will take you to each of the cenotes. Explore the underwater world of each magnificent cave, swim in the crystal water, dive, hang from the roots of the trees that grow on the roof of the cenote. Every cenote is distinctive, making each one a different adventure.
