Incredible day in the Sri Lankan wilderness

I had an amazing day at the Yala National Park. As I am travelling alone I booked this only for myself and I had the whole safari car, and one wonderfully knowledgeable guide, to myself. It was very VIP service. The price was the cheapest I had found anywhere locally or on the internet. The driver and guide both really tried their best to get us to spot a leopard. Driver was constantly on the phone to other drivers to ask if any leopards had been spotted. With all this we did indeed spot a beautiful leopard about 5 metres from our car. Breathtaking!! His amazing driving and my guides incredible knowledge made this the best tour I have yet been on.

We have engaged Beyond Escapes for our Yala Tour and it was fantastic! Not only did we manage to see numerous wild animals in the safari, the experience to stay in a tree house is great! Kumara is a very good guide and great driver. He showed us around and dropped us at some spots around our journey to take nice photos. 2 thumbs up for him! Thank you once again!

We start at dawn and experience the awakening of nature. In the morning we saw single animals, apart from the elephants who were in a group, with two cubs. The landscape is very beautiful, all the various types of birds are fascinating. The courses have holes, but the cars used are suitable, the experienced and capable drivers warn each other as soon as one of them spots some animals or groups. Very difficult to see the leopard. Nice experience, also valid for those who want to take pictures. Excellent lunch, typical and genuine.

Booking process was very easy. We were picked up exactly on time and were the first at the gate when Yala opened. Our guide Yasanka asked what we were most interested in and made that the priority for the morning. We saw the leopard, elephants, black bear and crocodile along with water buffaloes and deer. Amazing.
