For my birthday I wanted to check off something on my bucket list. So I booked the Grand Canyon Train ride. We were apprehensive at first because we were afraid that my seven year old granddaughter would get “bored” with the length of the day excursion. To our delight the day excursion was fabulous and our whole family had a delightful time. I would totally recommend this trip for families of all ages.

Took my three grandkids On this train ride. They loved it. It was a little confusing about the tickets. I did purchase vouchers ahead of time so I did not know I needed to go back through the line and get tickets. Be aware. Train staff was wonderful. Food on the train was great. Train robbery was fun for the kids as well

We went with Railroad Canyon train to have a different experience going to the Grand Canyon because we had been to the Grand Canyon driven by car a few years before. There is a 15 minute Cowboy Show pre-boarding the train. The train ride to the Grand Canyon is more than 2 1/2 hours long. During the ride there are a few announcements and activities to keep the riders informed and entertained. The terrains that the train goes through are mostly barren and some forestry with pine trees.
