What People Are Saying About Wieliczka Salt Mine
Very interesting tour. A must for visitors to Krakow. lots of history that you wouldnever expect to find in a salt mine
Two trips you have to put on your list when visiting Krakow. Both trips were excellent and well organised. I would have liked some time in Auschwitz to take it all in and reflect.
What an amazing place to visit with salt-carved statues, chapels, lakes, beautiful scenes and even crystal chandeliers made from salt. Lots of information about the history of the mine and production processes too. Great guide around the museum and punctual pick up. Great trip
really good trip. Luxury minicoach arrived right on time. the driver was courteous and helpful. 30 minute journey from Krakow to Wieliczka, where we were met at the coach by a guide, who took us to the mine, escorted us through the check-in, and then handed us over to the Official Guide, Lucy, who was very good. Her English was very good and she explained everything clearly with humour and patience. There is a lot of walking on this tour and there are 378 steps to descend to the first level, and another 160 to the second level. Its not a trip for the unfit, or anyone lacking mobility.
Our guide was knowledgeable and her English good. The transfers and the tour were managed efficiently and courteously. The attraction itself is very interesting. Highly recommended!
