Book this half-day Wieliczka Salt Mine excursion and a professional, English-speaking driver will drive you straight to the site, where a local guide will take you through the historic underground city. Encounter a unique place to visit that is a must-see during your stay in Krakow. Visiting the Salt Mine is also good for your health on account of its special climate and micro-element-filled air.

Fascinating place. Highly recommend. Amazing what was going on underground, beautiful sculptures and chandeliers. Well organised, yes, there are a lot of steps but not all in one go. The guide was very informative telling us events that happened on each level, we got breaks for a few minutes throughout the tour. It wasn’t possible to be socially distant in the lift up to the surface. Outside there is a kiosk selling drinks and a few souvenirs, there is also a BBQ set up, looked like they were selling sausage sandwiches. We had a little hiccup with the pick up, it was sorted efficiently and quickly so no complaints.

Tour Leader will assist you with entrance to the museum. Sightseeing takes place 135 m below the surface. Get ready to walk down 800 stairs to get to the starting point. The tour takes up to 3 hours. Channel your inner miner, exploring the depths of underground chambers, churches, and altars made of salt. After a 2.5 km walk with a licensed guide provided by the museum, you'll return to the surface with an original elevator used by the miners. The Wieliczka Salt Mine reaches a depth of 327 meters and extends via horizontal passages and chambers for over 287 kilometers (178 miles). What people are saying about Wieliczka

Our driver - Andrew and our guide - Magda were fabulous. Very courteous, gracious, knowledgeable and kind. The salt mine tour and tour of Krakow are interesting and enjoyable. The details of our trip were confusing. Pick up times changed 3x and the pick-up place changed 2x. Our itinerary also stated that we had a ride from the train to our apartment and when I called, I was told there would be no driver. So the arrangement details were not reliable
