Get there early and go see the Crown Jewels first. Our booking was for 11:00 am. We walked right in to the exhibit and by the time we finished with the Crown Jewels portion, they had visitors weaving around the poles in a line and the line to go through the poles was past the White Tower!

The building is a definite must see but do you really have to visit the inside of it? I am not so sure about that. If you are super into British history and the crown then maybe. Or if you have not visited a gothic church or cathedral before then you could start with this one but I doubt if that is the case for most people. The truth is London doesn’t have an incredibly interesting place to visit and what you visit will never feel as a novel thing so if you keep that in mind perhaps you could give it a go. But I believe this site is quite overrated and would in all honesty skip to visit it.

Audio guide provided at the entrance free of charge. Count 2 hours of visit to go around. Not too careful about the arrival time so no stress if you are late on the scheduled time. A nice visit, do not forget to go to the garden of the college of the abbey... that. more to my teenagers to see college students in a completely different environment.
