After arrival it's time for us to exercise by walking up 306 steps (Pretty easy or we will take you up by tram, you have 2 choices.!) We then take you participate morning monks chanting and practice meditation for a white to relax the body and mind and following by doing an offering Alms to Buddhists monks and get blessing from them for prosperity, good lucks and stay safe from any dangers. We highly recommend visiting this famous temple at dawn. The temple is quiet and the monks are just rousing and going out to receive alms offerings. Without any crowds you can enjoy the magical morning light and incredible views in serenity. It is the beginning to a great and wonderful day. Meet at Discova Chiang Mai office at 8.15AM. The bike tour will depart at 8:30 am sharp as we have a train to catch. After a quick bike fitting and briefing, we pedal to the railway station to catch the train to Lamphun. Bikes on the Train : The 30-minute train ride will take you south from Chiang Mai to Lamphun. Bike from the Lamphun railway station through quiet streets and lanes past the ancient city wall to the sacred Temple of Phra That Hariphunchai with its imposing golden chedi. Pedaling out of the city, the bike tour will cut across the countryside towards Chiang Mai, wandering through fruit orchards and along canals. The tour takes a break in a small village on the banks of the Ping River for some deliciously simple Thai food. Worried the kids might get tired? We can arrange for a van to pick you up after 30 KM and bring you back to town. That will still give you plenty of time to enjoy the train ride, all the food, sights, and drinks. Valid for up to 4 people max. After lunch bike across the Ping River and on through rice paddies arriving at the wood carving village of Ban Tawai. Parking our bikes, we will take a few moments to walk around and admire the craftsmanship of the wood carvers. Cycling the backroads and country lanes making our way through small villages, out across the plain to forested lanes in the foothills of Doi Suthep. Along the way we will stop at an ancient forest shrine of one of the founding kings of Chiang Mai. After traversing a few undulating hills, we will reach the esteemed Royal Ratchapuek Park. Once we arrive at the park, we will take a well-deserved break. Subsequently, we will gather our bikes and load them onto our vehicle, proceeding to return to our shop. This route will allow us to avoid the congested roads during peak hours, providing us with a peaceful respite after a fulfilling day of cycling.

This half-day tour begins with a visit to Wat Umong, one of the oldest temples in Chiang Mai. Located in a lush green forest at the foothills of the Suthep mountain, it is now a well-known meditation center. Explore the tunnel built by King Mengrai (the founder of Chiang Mai) to give monks a place to meditate in peace. See a Buddha field of broken sculptures and a library-museum in the temple area. Continue to Phra That Doi Suthep, located at the top of Suthep mountain, where a relic of the Buddha is kept in the golden stupa. Climb a naga stairway to the main temple area and marvel at the views of Chiang Mai city from the balcony.
