    Absolutely worth it!

The red tour is highly recommended. It includes the most important sights and provides brief descriptions. There are two different types of buses. Some are accompanied by a personal guide, others are announced by tape. We recommend the former, you learn more and it is usually more personal. The stops are not clearly signposted. If you are lucky, you will find a small brown BB sign. For some there is unfortunately nothing, which is absolutely in need of improvement! The blue tour is a matter of taste. We were interested in the Pentagon, but unfortunately you can't take pictures - not even from a distance - so that there is not much left except for a stop at the Cementary and the mall. We cannot judge the other lines and the night tour.

Great, easy way to see the sites

This is the perfect way to see the sites.. Easy hop-on, hop-off service that allows you to spend as much or as little time as you like at different tourist sites. Parking in D.C. is such a hassle and this service takes away that frustration. Friendly staff. Only complaint is it wasn't always obvious where the bus would pick us up; stops are indicated on map but there weren't always street signs. I would highly recommend this service.

Great way to see DC, but buses didn't run as often as stated.

The tour was great. There are four different routes, and several places that connect to the other routes. Buses were very crowded when we went, so you could not always get to the top of the bus. If below, you cannot see much at all. It would have been nice if they provide times of last pick-up at each spot. We didn't get to the blue line, which we had planned, but just missed the last pick-up at one of the connections. Our tickets came with a coupon for free admission to the wax museum, which was a bonus. Be careful with booking. There are two "tours", at different prices, but both are identical. Look for the less expensive ticket.
