What to Expect
Take a trip to the UNESCO heritage site of Torun, considered by many to be the best example of a medieval Gothic town. You can choose to start out from Warsaw, Poznan, or Gdansk.
Torun was the birthplace of great Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, who is credited with the discovery that our earth is not at the center of the universe.
During the guided walk through the old town you’ll visit the Copernicus House and also the Cathedral with its bell tower that offers splendid view over the city. Torun is one of Poland’s oldest cities.
After touring the old town, you’ll have time to hunt for souvenirs! You might want to sample the local gingerbread, which is a specialty of Torun, made according to old recipes and methods that date to the 16th century.
At the end of the tour, you’ll be transferred back to your starting city.
