This full-day tour of the mighty Danube is ideal for people who want to combine history with nature and would like to enjoy some of the most beautiful countrysides in Hungary. You will see historic monuments and art memorials while your guide provides a lively narrative of Hungarian life. You will visit the 750-year-old Royal Residence at Visegrád where you will learn about life in the Middle Ages while enjoying spectacular views of the Danube Valley. At Esztergom, the northern gate of Budapest, you will pause at the largest cathedral in the country and see the burial sites of famous cardinals as you gaze across the water towards Slovakia. Cross the river and border into Slovakia to see the stunning view from the opposite side.  You will stop at an artists' village in Szentendre, a baroque city located where the Danube River meets the Pilis Mountains. Wander the narrow streets to soak up the magical atmosphere and catch panoramic vistas of the river. You will have time to visit some of the museums, such as the world-famous Margit Kovács Ceramic Museum or the Confectionery Museum, where the buildings and people are made of marzipan. Browse the shops of the village before the return journey to Budapest. Travel from 15th May until 15th September will be on a relaxing boat cruise, a fitting way to arrive back in the city center. In case of low/high water levels, the return to Budapest will be by bus.

Walk around the baroque settlement, built on medieval ruins, and go up the narrow streets to a panorama point to look out over the Danube. Enjoy the special atmosphere of this village before the trip concludes.

Discover the artistic town of Szentendre (often referred to as the “Artists Village”) during a half-day tour along the Danube River. Travel back in time as you walk through the baroque town center. Pop into souvenir shops, discover restaurants, coffee shops and art galleries in the many listed buildings. Take a cozy walk on vintage streets beloved by artists since the 18th and 19th centuries. Afterwards, climb aboard the scheduled public boat (every Friday, Saturday and Sunday tour) and enjoy a scenic view as you cruise back to Budapest city center. On Tuesdays, you will come back to Budapest by bus. Boat cruise is available every year from 15th May - 31st October.

Journey through Hungary's history, experience a unique section of the River Danube, commonly referred to as the ”Danube Bend”. Start off by seeing the city of Esztergom from another perspective during a photo stop in Slovakia. Then head out in the comfort of an air-conditioned bus and enjoy the remarkable city of Esztergom, home to the largest Catholic church in the country. In addition to experiencing a great view of river valley, you will also have time to enjoy a 3-course lunch in the city of Visegrád. Afterwards, you will continue on to the magical artist’s village of Szentendre, where your guide will show you the downtown area with its cobblestone streets. At the end of the tour, return to Budapest either by boat on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday (from 15th May to 31st October) or by bus on every Wednesday (from 15th May to 31st October). In case of extremely low or high water level on the River Danube, the return to Budapest will be by bus as well.

Embark on a full-day, guided hike just outside of Budapest through the Danube Bend, including hotel pickup and drop-off via an air conditioned and comfortable van. A memorable day for lovers of nature and the outdoors awaits. Spend the day in the volcanic Visegradi Hills, where the memory of the old volcano still pervades. The volcano is no longer active, so there remains no danger. The starting point of the hike is at a tiny, romantic village on the coast of the Danube, called Dömös. Begin with the steepest climb of the day while you're still feeling fresh. This is a challenging uphill section, so if you are not in a good physical shape it may be exhausting for you. After the climb, you'll find yourself on a ridge that offers beautiful panoramic views over the river and surrounding mountains. As you look around, check out the huge volcanic rocks that were left behind after the ancient eruption. After a few hundred yards more, climb to Predikaloszek, the summit with some of the best views in Hungary. This place is very famous among locals and visited the whole year through by nature-lovers. Stop for a snack at the lookout and take in the amazing scenery. After refueling, a nice and long downhill trek is waiting for you through a wild and untouched valley. During the descent, observe the power of water; see how it created ravines in the soil of the forest. We close the day with the one of the most visited natural attractions of Hungary that is the Ram gorge. Thirty meters high rock formations and waterfalls are waiting for you in the cool and green canyon. We climb up through waterfalls with the help of ladders and rails. Adventure for a lifetime!
