What People Are Saying About Vilnius
Exciting Lithuanian history brought to life by inspiring guide.
We were picked up on time by our wonderful guide from our apartment and were given a tour of the small and large ghettos where an excellent explanation of the Jewish context was sensitively explained. We drove to Paneriai Memorial Park and our guide escorted us around the different memorials whilst explaining the horrors that the Jews faced in their tragic end. We had no ideas of the details of how the Victims had met with their horrific fate in the woods having seen the death pits that marked the ends of their lives. It made us think as we headed out to Trakai Castle and our wonderful guide explained the Lithuanian history of the Duke who wanted to be king and his vision of a multi cultural army. Our guide took us into every room in the castle and we had an excellent tour of this beautiful restored castle. Our guide took us home after we had a snack in the cafe and recommended our amazing restaurant for our evening meal. He also sorted out our taxi transfer to the airportthanks

Interesting tour of a beautiful city enhanced by our Guide
We had an interesting tour of the city brought to life by our extremely knowledgeable guide Kristofer who took us to parts of the city and places of interest we could not have discovered on our own in particular the church of St Peter and Paul. Our guide told us interesting stories of his family and childhood growing up in Vilnius during Soviet times and brought to life the city's rich cultural heritage with his sensitive knowledge and understanding of Lithuanian history. We had an excellent time and the tour enhanced our visit to this beautiful city. Thank you

Lots of interesting facts (esspecially about Republic of Uzupis)
I was living in Vilnius for 5 years, but didn't know few interesting facts about city. We had 3 kids with us - tour saved us lots of time and energy (comparing traveling on foot with children).

Tomas provided an excellent, informative tour
The tour included the city's only remaining synagogue, cemeteries, a walk through the ghettos and visits to Holocaust hiding places. With these visits plus Tomas' knowledge and descriptions, we learned a great deal of the growth of this culture and its tragic end in Lithuania. If you are at all interested in history in general or Jewish history in particular, this tour is well worth your time.

Our tour of Vilnius was all we could hope for and more.
I have taken many tours in my travels, but this one has to be the very best. Most tours proceed at breakneck speed, with little change to linger or ask questions. Urban Adventures, however, gave us ample opportunity to interact with the tour guides, who were both knowledgeable and very personable. Their language skills (the tour was given in English) were extraordinarily good. Their grasp of Lithuanian history, especially as it played out in the greater context of Europe, taught me a lot. I plan on returning to Lithuania in the future, and will certainly use their services again. I heartily recommend them. Paul Runion
