Excellent trip with our host Trim. Met at Vik inside the Lava museum and then driven 45 minutes to the site with a couple of stops on the way. The scenery is fantastic. The walk to the cave was medium difficulty - spikes for shoes provided. The cave itself was a unique experience and well worth it. Our host Trim was very knowledgeable and shared a few stories on route. Definitely would recommend.
The bumpy jeep ride was the most strenuous part of this adventure. Not a very long drive and made it feel like a true adventure. The guide was super knowledgeable and the hiking portion was a breeze. Absolutely stunning views inside and outside the ice cave. On a summer day, I would say the waterproof pants may be optional.
This was AMAZING!! Trim was an incredible guide and answers so many of our questions. Everything we saw on the tour was great and Trim worked so hard to make sure we had the best possible experience. Would highly recommend!
We met at a pick up point and drove to the glacier close to the Katla Volcano. Our guide was a very good storyteller - and driver - in the sandy and bumpy conditions.
Guide was great very informative and make the trip fun - overall was a wonderful experience, getting to go into an area you could not access otherwise.
