What to Expect
Visit Vienna, the cultural center of Europe during the 18th century and the seat of the Habsburg Empire. On the drive from Brno, you’ll travel through scenic Moravia, arriving in Vienna in around an hour and a half.
Your full-day excursion begins with a pick-up at your hotel in Brno on a tour that’s designed and priced for a group of up to 3 persons.
When you arrive in Vienna you’ll be taken on a drive along the city’s famous Ringstrasse, a magnificent boulevard that was built on top of the demolished city walls. See Vienna’s majestic buildings, including palaces, museums, and hotels, and the parks that are home to statues of important historical figures.
The tour continues on to the southern edge of the city, where you’ll see Schoenbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the imperial family. Tour the chateau and the gardens (admission not included) and then return to the city center for a walking tour of the Hofburg Palace (admission not included). The Hofburg was the winter residence of the Habsburgs.
Next is a stop at St. Stephen´s Cathedral, and the end of the guided part of the tour. Enjoy some free time for lunch or shopping.
You’ll meet your guide in front of St. Stephens´s Cathedral for the return trip to Brno.
