What to Expect
Enjoy a full-day tour of Vienna that gives the perfect introduction to first time visitors and combines an inner city walking tour and suburban discovery tour by sedan or van. An expert local guide will be with you throughout the day (including for the driving section) to answer any questions you may have and give tips on how to explore the city on your own.

First, as the Innere Stadt’s pedestrian zone is crowded with delivery cars until about 11:00, start with a driving tour of the city’s suburbs. Enjoy panoramic views from Belvedere Hill, and admire the city’s most impressive Baroque palace. An interior visit to see Klimt’s “Kiss” is optional.

Then, go to the oldest still-in-existence Ferris Wheel in Prater park. Cross the mighty Danube to discover one of the city's more modern sides at the UN-complex and DC-City. See a fantastic example of 1980s eco-friendly architecture at the Hundertwasserhaus. To do the 2nd imperial residence of the Schönbrunn justice would take at least half a day. Content yourself with a view of the façade and gardens, and make a note to return later. Along the way, pass the Naschmarkt, Karlsplatz, and State Opera.

For lunch, your guide will provide you with some local suggestions, such as sausage tasting at a typical würstel stand,” or a sit down lunch at a hidden Inner City eatery. There are even a couple of rooftop gems you can enjoy.

Then, spend the rest of the day exploring the Innere Stadt on foot. Depending on your level of fitness, the precise itinerary can include the historic monuments of the Ring, the courtyards of the imperial Hofburg Palace, the Baroque staircases of some of the city’s opulent pastry shops, and the sacred treasures of St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
