  • Vienna: 1-Hour Boat Tour on the Danube Canal

    1. Vienna: 1-Hour Boat Tour on the Danube Canal

Embark on a boat trip along the Danube Canal through the historical and modern city of Vienna. Once known as the “Vienna Water,” the “Vienna Arm," and the “Little Danube," this route of today’s Danube Canal was the main arm of the Danube in the Middle Ages. On this tour, see important buildings including the Uniqa Tower, the Urania Observatory, hotels and commercial buildings by Jean Nouvel, and the Media Tower by Hans Hollein. Take a look at the Schützenhaus by Otto Wagner, the Ringturm, the Rossauer Barracks, and the waste incineration plant of Spttelau designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Below the lock, the boat turns around and heads back to the starting point. Let the new Vienna and its countless graffiti art pieces and trendy areas enchant you as they pass by.

The boat tour was exactly on time and we could sit on the outside or inside the boat. We sat inside and had a great view of the river and surrounding buildings. The menu is reasonable. Overall it was a very relaxing experience.

  • Vienna: 3.5-Hour Grand Danube River Cruise

    2. Vienna: 3.5-Hour Grand Danube River Cruise

Experience Vienna on board the MS Wien and MS Vindobona ships. The MS Vindobona was lovingly designed by artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser and with its distinctive coloring is now one of the city’s attractions itself. Let the Viennese scenery pass by on the Great Danube Tour and enjoy “green Vienna” (route A) and “modern Vienna” (route B). This tour starts at the Vienna/City station at Schwedenplatz, passing the Urania observatory and continues through the ‘green heart’ of Vienna and the woods of the Prater area. Downstream from the Freudenau lock, the ship docks at the Marina Wien station. Following the shores of the Danube Island and past a grain silo that was converted into a hotel and a stadium, your tour continues to the Reichsbrücke station. From the Reichsbrücke or Marina Wien station onwards, see ‘modern Vienna’ with its Danube plateau skyline, Danube Tower, and Millenium Towe...

Was kinda interesting cruise with nice food and drink options. A smooth, romantic trip through the wonderful Danube. The boat was well heated and big enough to allow you move and take pictures from different areas. The only drawbacks would be the commentary which should've been done using audio devices instead of the loud speakers, and also the lengthy time we spent in the small river bank twice waiting for the bridge to open.

  • Vienna: Cruise and Schnitzel Tour

    3. Vienna: Cruise and Schnitzel Tour

A cruise through Vienna with a fitting culinary combination. The ticket includes a boat trip down the Danube and through Vienna. Start the tour at Schwedenplatz and redeem your voucher at the Vienna/City boat station at the DDSG Blue Danube. The ships depart just a few minutes' walk from St. Stephen's Cathedral in the city center. On board, the crew welcomes you. The ships are beautiful restaurant ships that sail both the Vienna Danube Canal and the great Danube. During the tour you will pass through two locks, a process that takes about 20 minutes each time. The tours are carried out with both the French designed MS Vindobona, which is now one of the sights of Vienna (departure 11:30 and 15:00) and the MS Wien, which has a large outdoor deck (departure 10:30 and 14:00). Both ships are air conditioned. The food is freshly prepared on board, the Schnitzel of course tapped, breaded and ...

Highly recommend the full 3.5 hour tour over the 1.5. You see a lot more of the Danube and the 1.5 spends a good 1/3 of the time in one of the locks. Don't bother with the food, bring your own and grab seats in the front of the boat for the best views.

  • Vienna: Wachau, Melk Abbey, and Danube Valleys Tour

    4. Vienna: Wachau, Melk Abbey, and Danube Valleys Tour

Experience a romantic sightseeing tour by bus and boat from Vienna, introducing you to the beauty of the Wachau and Danube Valleys. One of the most prominent tourist destinations in Lower Austria, the Wachau Valley is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site for its architectural and agricultural history, and it also attracts epicureans with its food and wine. You will explore the River Danube as it flows around picturesque villages and steep vineyards. The many ancient castles testify to the former importance of the river as a trade and traffic route. One of these is the ruins of Dürnstein Castle, where, according to legend, Richard the Lionheart was kept imprisoned, and was eventually freed by his faithful minstrel Blondel. You will take a romantic boat trip along the legendary Danube and go to the heart of the Wachau wine-growing region at the old city of Krems. A highlight of the to...

  • Vienna: 3-Course Evening Dinner Cruise

    5. Vienna: 3-Course Evening Dinner Cruise

Pass the romantically lit shores and enjoy the excellent service of the on-board restaurant. Varied menus that are always freshly prepared on the ship provide culinary highlights. Come aboard the 'Dream Ship' and let your mind wander. The cruise starts at Schwedenplatz, just a few steps from the city center. Exchange your voucher for a ticket at the shipping station (after the checkpoint directly at the ship). The friendly crew of MS Wien is pleased to welcome you on board. The evening cruise leads past the lively bustle on the banks of the Danube Canal. Pass the Nussdorf lock and experience how the ship overcomes the dammed-up elevation and approaches the sunset on the Danube.

El crucero está bien, pero al hacerlo de noche no es mas que cenar en un barco puesto que no se aprecia el paisaje. La comida es correcta.
