What to Expect
On this tour through the wine country of Victoria, visit small, unique wineries and travel in a Classic Convertible Chevrolet.

We start at Punt Road Winery, a friendly, award-winning site owned by the Napoleone family residing in the Yarra valley since the 1940s. They planted their first vineyards in 1983 and are now highly regarded for their Yarra Valley Punt Road label and hand-crafted cider.

Then visit the Cold Stream Hills Winery founded by Renowned Wine Writer James Halliday in 1985.
Next visit Medhurst Winery another family-owned winery that has estate grown, low cropped, handmade wines known for its excellent varieties of export quality wines.

Continue to Yarra Yering Winery, one of the oldest and most beautiful vineyards in Australia. The wine produced in 1973 by the owner Dr. Bailey Carrodus gained an international reputation for its quality and individuality.

From here you will go to St Huberts Winery this Vineyard is hand pruned and mostly trained to Vertically Shoot Positioned trellis, with foliage wires lifted by hand.

Follow this with a visit to the old Dominique Portet Winery, whose owners enjoy an unrivalled infamy in the Australian wine industry. Dominique is the ninth generation in his family to be committed to wine making, and his family have had links with the wine industry since 1720 back in his native Bordeaux.

Pause for lunch at the well-known “Yering Station” to feast on the excellent food. Afterwards climb back into your vintage car and travel to Sticks Winery, one of Yarra Valley’s most progressive and unique wineries, with award-winning produce that is sold both nationally and in key markets around the world.

At DeBortoli Winery you will find interesting wines from some of the oldest vines in the valley. Enjoy fantastic cheese and wine tastings in an Italian style ambience. You will be introduced to the highly respected and well known Richard Thomas, a cheese maker for over 30 years. You can sample, taste or buy at your pleasure.

You may also visit: the biological farming practices at Maddens Rise; the progressive and award-winning wines of Greenstone Winery where you may also get to sample their cheese platter; and one of the oldest family-owned vineyard, Coombe Farm Winery.

Time permitting, pay a visit to Balgownie Estate Vineyard, established by the now legendary winemaker Stuart Anderson in 1969. This vineyard was the first of its kind planted in the Bendigo district more than 80 years ago. This is one of Australia's extraordinary small vineyards, famed for its long lived Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.

At the end of the day, cruise back to Melbourne with the wind in your hair, through Warrandyte and Kangaroo Ground.
These are some of the Wineries in the Yarra Valley you could visit, but the choice of wineries and the amount you visit is entirely up to you. Its all about Relaxing and having a Good Time.
