Ours will be a journey through the main attractions of the historic centre of Naples, a Unesco heritage site since 1995. Greek, Roman, French, Austrian, Spanish and finally Italian Naples all concentrated in the few square kilometres of the centre, a unique mix of cultures for more than 2,000 years. During our visit we will discuss the history, legends, folklore and monuments of one of Italy's most fascinating cities. We will start from Piazza Dante where we will admire the 'Convitto Nazionale' designed by the famous architect Vanvitelli and then, entering the historical centre from the 'Port'Alba', we will pass by the oldest pizzeria in the city and then arrive at Piazza Bellini, where the ancient Greek walls of the city of Neapolis are still visible today! We will continue our tour towards via Tribunali, telling about the famous statue of 'Pulcinella' and the so-called 'church of the souls in purgatory', which hides a mysterious crypt. We will then move on to Via San Gregorio Armeno, famous for the nativity scenes made by the local artisans' workshops, and end our tour by visiting one of the most emblematic basilicas of Naples, Santa Chiara, a perfect example of the Gothic style of southern Italy, and the Piazza del Gesu Nuovo, with the impressive façade of the church of the same name built by the Jesuits in the 15th century.

Every Monday - Wednesday - Friday the tour to discover the heart of Naples. Departure at 10.00 and meeting at the Museum Cafè, in Largo Corpo in Naples, where we will start with a classic of the Neapolitan tradition: a coffee, which will make you exclaim the famous 3 "Cs", and a warm and refreshing sfogliatella, riccia or frolla fate will decide. Immediately afterwards, we will immerse ourselves in the beating heart of the city, Spaccanapoli, the most famous decumanus of Naples. We will go up through one of the most iconic streets, i.e. San Gregorio Armeno and inside one of its shops we will travel through the eyes of one of its best-known craftsmen to discover an ancient craft that is still alive today. We will continue with a visit inside the Church of San Gregorio Armeno, for us Neapolitans known as Santa Patrizia, an excellent example of Neapolitan Baroque. Then we will go up to San Lorenzo Maggiore, a church where a coronation, a consecration, a secret burial and even a forbidden love are said to have taken place. And after revealing some of the secrets and mysteries we will walk along via dei Tribunali towards the church of Santa Maria delle Anime del Purgatorio ad Arco where we will discover the cult of pezzentelle souls. The tour ends in front of the Pietrasanta bell tower, the oldest in the city.

Very interesting tour. Three hours of walking in the historic center of Naples, visiting churches and squares in the company of a trained and friendly guide. Without forgetting the visit to the Veiled Christ.
