Established in 1811, the Santa Sofia winery and cellars are located in Pedemonte, in the noble villa built by Andrea Palladio in the sixteenth century, known as Villa Sarego, in one of the most beautiful and temperate areas of the Valpolicella Classica. Villa Santa Sofia has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, along with other houses built by architect Andrea Palladio.
In this magnificent setting, after a brief historical introduction on the relationship between the winery and the Palladian Villa Santa Sofia, you can visit the historic cellars of the thirteenth, fifteenth, and seventeenth century.
