Join this fabulous wine tasting experience with an expert sommelier in Verona. The tasting session includes the most important varietals of Veneto wine, such as the famous Amarone, Prosecco, Valpolicella and more.
What to Expect
Your wine-tasting experience in Verona provides a delicious opportunity to gain insight into Italy’s long winemaking heritage from an industry pro - your trained sommelier guide. After meeting the sommelier in central Verona, close to Castelvecchio, head to the Food and Wine Academy, where you’ll be delighted with the cozy ambience of the room.
Grab your wine glass and gather around the table as your sommelier shares information about Valpolicella and Veneto wine and how it fits into the country’s beloved culture. During your tasting session, you’ll enjoy samples of four local wine varietals, including the well-known Amarone, Prosecco, Soave and Valpolicella, considered Veneto’s finest wines. Each wine is paired with Italian snacks like cheese, bread and more.
While you sip, learn how to distinguish different flavors and aromas of the wines. Your wine knowledge continues to increase as you dive into more detail, such as how to discern if a wine is standard or complex. You may also ask your sommelier any questions before your experience. Before you leave the session, feel free to purchase any of your favorite bottles to enjoy later.
