Wonderful tour that allows you special access in the evening where they light the ceiling and spaces for the few guests visiting at night. There was no wait and uncrowded. You can sit in the main area to admire the ceiling mosaics while they light each section for your observation. You wouldn’t see these same lighting displays during the daytime. The itinerary also includes access to the tombs below. The guide explained everything beautifully with great storytelling art. THANK YOU!!! Note: We also did a separate daytime tour, which had balcony access but NO tomb access nor sitting for the lights).

An absolutely fantastic tour! I couldn't recommend it more. Our guide was well informed, personable, and spoke English very well. The access you receive with this tour is much more intimate and exclusive than almost any other tour you could take. definitely both worth the money and time to do while in Venice!

First I don't want to encourage you to do this. We got stuck on the other side of Venice and were 25 minutes late. I honestly don't remember her name. but a woman was standing at the entrance waiting for us. I had told my husband we were too late but he insisted on checking. As soon as we walked up she greeted us by name. We were in awe that she waited for us. She said the tour had started but they hadn't gone inside yet so she waited for us. I want to say she is amazing and made our night. Once we got in the church we were toured by Franchesca she is an Midevil Archeologist. And you can tell her knowledge was astounding. Her stories were amazing and I trust to be accurate. She just knew what she was talking about. She made this tour amazing. I want to say a heartfelt thank you to both ladies for making this a highlight of our trip. Everyone should ask for her by name because her tour was fantastic!!! Thank you both so much.
