Venice Public Transportation: Waterbus and Mainland Buses
- Duration options: 75 minutes - 7 days
Boating over the lagoon from Marco Polo International Airport upon your arrival in Venice is easily the most exclusive and romantic airport transfer in the world. This is an exclusive shared water taxi service from Venice Marco Polo Airport to central Venice hotels, and back. Hop into a water taxi straight after you pick up your luggage and get whisked across the lagoon to your hotel. Not only is this the most romantic way to travel, but it’s also the most direct route to the city. For some hotels located along the Grand Canal, or hotels such as Hilton Stucky and San Clemente, the water taxi stops directly at the hotel. For less-accessible destinations on the inner canals, you will be dropped off within easy walking distance. If your hotel is JW Marriott - Isola delle Rose, you will be dropped off in San Marco nearby the Marriott hotel shuttle boat
Short wait for other passengers and then straight to the water gate of the hotel. Brilliant
Enjoy your trip in Venice and use public transportation without queuing at the ticket offices. Just head to the yellow ticket machines that you can find at the vaporetto stops across the city: enter the PNR code that you'll find on your voucher and get the paper ticket with which you can catch your vaporetto. Your tickets must be validated each time before boarding a water bus. The validity of your ticket begins from the exact time it is first validated.
Franscescha was a gem. She made the trip very memorable. Gave all the knowledge and a very good guide and host. Great trip. Txs

Buses from Piazzale Roma depart from the same place you were dropped off, at the ATVO bus platforms in the middle of the square. Dedicated staff are at your disposal to provide assistance and information.
Excellent way to get to the airport. Finding the right platform can be confusing since the public transport is right next to the station. But the bus takes you very quickly to the airport.

This is a shared boat service from Venice city centre to Venice airport. This service offers a more economic way of getting to the airport, yet faster than the Public Airport boat and cheaper than the private water taxi. A private boat (licenced) departs from the central meeting points (listed below) at the times stated. The boat will make additional stops, if necessary. Guests are requested to present themselves at the meeting points at least 15 minutes prior departure time. Embarkation piers are fixed at the closest pier according to the client's hotel location. No direct service to hotel pier apart from some hotels on the Grand Canal and some islands. Main stops from departing - Piazzale Roma - Carlton - Sabbioni - S.S. Apostoli - Rialto - Accademia - Trinità - S.Marco - S.Zaccaria - S.Maria Elisabetta
The taxi arrived at the exact agreed time. The staff at the office were very reluctant to arrange departure times. The driver was polite and very pleasant. I can recommend to anyone!
Simply sit back and enjoy the scenery as you cruise across the water to your hotel or to the airport in a comfortable motorboat. This safe and reliable private transfer service will save you valuable time. The one-way service by private water taxi is available for 1-6 guests with 8 pieces of luggage. The water taxi takes you directly to your hotel if it has its own water entrance. For hotels with no private water entrance, you’ll be dropped off at the closest pier. With the meet and greet service (standard service), a representative will meet you at the arrival hall and help you find your way to the water taxi. The porterage service is included. Or choose the full service (premium service), the representative will meet you at the arrival hall and will come with you to your hotel helping you with the check-in procedures. Both services are available for the arrivals and the departures...
Beautiful ride to our hotel with a courteous driver in a lively boat. A perfect way to arrive in Venice.

It all turned out brilliantly in the end, we did have to wait around for half hour waiting for our fellow passengers who didn’t show so the water taxi driver put us on another boat and we cruised into the heart of Venice in style.

Be at the AVTO stop at Piazzale Roma by 7:40am. The bus will leave at 7:50 sharp! The driver will "mess with you" if you do not speak Italian. Just show him your name on your confirmation and look at HIS manifest in order to point out your name. Anyway, this is an extremely affordable way to see the beautiful dolomite area. We had plenty of time to take the cable car all the way up to Tofana Cortina. We then had plenty of time to stroll in the village, have lunch and window shop. You will be back at P.R. before 6:30pm
Every bus was perfectly on time according to the schedule. It was also easy to find a bus as it was waiting just outside the aiport. I am very satisfied with the service.
The bus was waiting, just outside Arrivals exit, all wearing masks and snooth ride to Venice.
Everything was very professional and on time. Pick up close to the hotel
Wonderful experience! Guide was on time and we had a smooth ride
