Full description
Enjoy a half-day excursion from Venice to the islands of Murano and Burano in the Venetian lagoon. Your tour starts out from St. Mark's Square, where you’ll board a boat that will take you to the northern part of the lagoon. During the crossing, some commentary about the area will be provided in English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian. Murano Island is the first stop, a place that’s world-famous for its glass production. You’ll have a chance to visit a glass factory and observe a local artist giving shape to a work of art in glass. Afterwards, you’ll have some free time to explore the island and take in the picturesque views. Next stop is Burano, one of the most beautiful and peaceful islands in the lagoon. Burano is well known for its colorful houses and long tradition of lace production. You’ll have enough free time here for a walk around the island to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, before the boat returns to Venice.

I advise to follow the guidance of arriving 30 mins before, as you will have to collect the tickets from a kiosk ( many people were queuing up and we were just about to miss our boat) The trip itself was amazing and relaxing. Lots of information provided in 5 different languages.

Boat trip from Venice to murano & burano was worth the money for the visit. Glass making was nice and burano is very photogenic. If you’re multilingual like me you’ll get the information explained aboard. However, if you’re relying on anything other than Italian or Spanish. Our guide, Francesca, had average English and poor French and German. They could nearly pre save a recorded message, it would be best. Also, the boat covers the classic tour you can do with public transport for the same price. Thé pro of the tour is you skip the long transport queues as you have your assigned boat, the con is that the visit is timed and they will not wait for you if you miss the meeting time. Warning, the coordinates of the meeting point were wrong! I found them through the description mentioning the corner of the correct street name. Also, search for a small yello ticket booth and matching parasol

The perfect day trip! The host was very attentive and made sure everyone was aware of on/off times from each island. The 10-15 minute glass show in Murano was a real treat and the island of Burano was absolutely beautiful! This 4.5 hr boat trip really helped maximize our 3 day stay in Venice and we would 100% recommend!
