See the old and new highlights of Valencia on a 3-hour bike tour, and discover Spain's largest historic center. Marvel at Calatrava’s dynamic contemporary architecture in the City of Arts and Sciences, built on land reclaimed from the Turia riverbed.
What to Expect
Enjoy the warm sea breeze and fresh air as you explore the vibrant city of Valencia like a local; by bike!
Available as a public or private option (which can be customized on request), start by pedaling to the Turia Gardens, created from a former riverbed. Bordered by the Palau de la Música at one end, and the City of Arts and Sciences at the other, the 8-mile (13-kilometer) park winds its way through the city, and plays host to a variety of cultural activities throughout the year.
Continue to the historic center, Spain's largest. Discover the city’s Roman remains around the Plaza de la Virgen, and see some of the most important buildings from the days of the Moors and Valencia’s Golden Age. Learn the history and customs of the city, stopping to take pictures of your favorite monuments, or enjoy a drink on a lovely terrace whenever you feel like it.
Then, continue along the former riverbed of the Rio Turia to the City of Arts and Sciences, renowned for the futuristic white architecture by acclaimed architect (and Valencia born) Santiago Calatrava.
