As the catamaran weaves through the islands of the Alicia Archipelago, you’ll pass an area inhabited by a large colony of Imperial Cormorants. There’s a stop at Bird Island so you’ll have the opportunity to take photos. You’re likely to see the majestic Black-Browed Albatross, the Skua (a type of gull), and the Steamer Duck.
The trip continues through Les Eclaireurs Archipelago, and on to Seal Island, which is home to 2 playful species of sea lions. Afterwards, the catamaran will sail to a nearby island where you’ll have a better view of the classic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse (also known as the Lighthouse at the End of the World) before heading back to port. This 74-foot structure guards the sea entrance to Ushuaia.
