What People Are Saying About United States Capitol
if the weather had been better the tour guide would have been more engaged; hard to communicate in windy cold weather and would have liked more info on sites and general info
Good guides with lots of stories. Many stops so we never got tired (we had kids with us).
It was really fun; we got a great over-view of Washington at beginning of our trip. Julian was fantastic, regaling us with interesting facts. My only concern is that there were 14 in our group which I feel is not safe. Green lights turned into red as we were crossing. Julian had appointed a "shot-gun" but he was not always in last position.
Although it was cold and wet, the bike tour was a great way to get around the major sights of Washington. The distances between all the monuments and buildings was so big that to do it on foot would take ages and completely worn us out. The ride was easy and mostly level and downhill, with a bit of uphill at the end, but nothing too strenuous. I would highly recommend this as a great way to see everything in a short time.
This was a good tour. The guides were knowledgeable and very friendly. We went on the 7 mile Capitol tour. It was a good overview, but I was hoping for more time at the monuments. We did not get to get off bikes to look at any of them except for the Lincoln Memorial. If I had to do it again, I would probably just do the Monuments tour. We already had the Capitol and the museums on our to visit list, but we were using this as our monument tour and it wasn't quite enough. A bike is a great way to get around. We were there the weekend of the fourth so it was pretty crowded, but even my nine year old was able to get around on the sidewalks and make the ride. Washington DC is a pretty city and a bike is a great way to see it.
