Top of Innsbruck: Roundtrip Cable Car Ticket

1. Top of Innsbruck: Roundtrip Cable Car Ticket

Begin your journey 560 meters above sea level, not far from the heart of Innsbruck's old town with its historical buildings and the world-renowned "Goldenes Dachl" (Golden Roof). Planned and designed by star architect Zaha Hadid, the Hungerburg funicular is a unique architectural achievement. Hop aboard your panoramic cable car and begin your upward ascent. As you rise upwards, admire how the elegant modern design of the stations contrasts with the rugged mountain landscape. Continue along Seegrube and Hafelekar and notice how the picture changes: your attention will now be caught by the painstakingly renovated station building, which was designed by the Tyrolese architect Franz Baumann. Savor the peace and beauty of nature as your ascent continues and the bustle of the city gives way to the tranquillity of the mountain. All that remains is a spectacular view of Innsbruck. By day it seems so far away it looks like a toy city, at night it shimmers like a sea of lights. After reaching the upper station at 2,256 meters above sea level, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the city of Innsbruck on the one side and the unforgettable vista of untouched, pristine nature on the other. A visit to the Nordkette, set between the mountain range and the town, promises to be an unforgettable experience. Here you can enjoy a unique combination of relaxation, the wonder of nature, and modern architecture.

Vienna: Full-Day Vienna Woods Wine Tour

2. Vienna: Full-Day Vienna Woods Wine Tour

Lower Austria is the cradle of Austrian viticulture, and this is your chance to visit the area's beautiful forests and vineyards of the Thermal Region, just south of Vienna. Your tour meeting point is Vienna's main railway station, where once you've met your guides you'll board a train southwards for approximately 30 minutes to the heart of the Vienna Woods. Summer (April-October) Your summer tour will begin with a hike in the spa town of Baden, which was once a favorite country retreat of Beethoven. From there you will walk along forest trails towards a magnificent elevated viewpoint overlooking the Vienna Basin in all directions. This spot alone is a photographer's dream, and will be followed by you entering the neighboring vineyards, wandering through row upon row of lush green vines. As a reward, you'll take a break among the vines for an open-air wine tasting at a local producer. Winter (November-March) Your train will bring you directly to the vineyards of one of Austria’s oldest winemaking institutions, steeped in middle-age tradition and history. While there, learn about how the monastic orders became wine pioneers of their time. Sample a glass of local sekt to toast to your arrival in the Austrian wine country. The afternoon segment of both the winter and summer tours will be the same. You will continue to the picturesque wine village of Gumpoldskirchen for lunch at a traditional Austrian wine tavern. From there, your second tasting is led by a local winemaker to whom you can ask questions about how wine is produced and which challenges modern-day vintners face. Your tour later concludes with a short train ride back to the city center, just in time for your evening schedule.

If you are in Innsbruck you cannot miss the top of the mountain tour. Take the funicular and then 2 gondolas to the top for the most picturesque view of the Dolomites. If you decide to hike part way down, HAVE A PLAN, I did get a little lost on the way down using the roads and paths instead of the funicular. Was worth getting lost, but avoid the highway !!

A climb above the pines An arrival at the top and an extraordinary point of view on Innsbruck Our great luck is that the weather was very very beautiful

That was a beautiful day. problem-free transport despite Corona. everything well under control. wonderful view above on a wonderful summer day.

Wonderful views from both stations. The fenicular ride is cool too.
