  • From Florence: Tuscan Countryside Tour on a Vintage Vespa

    1. From Florence: Tuscan Countryside Tour on a Vintage Vespa

Meet at the centrally located garage for your introduction to one of the perfectly restored Vintage Vespas. Your tour leader will fit you with a helmet and give some basic instructions and safety information before setting off for this exhilarating ride through the countryside. Leave Florence in a small swarm of Vespas and head for the freedom of the hills, following the tour leader along the riverside and a tree-lined avenue to a famous viewpoint. After posing for photos with your Vespa and the amazing skyline of Florence, enjoy a bit of culture with a quick visit inside one of Florence's oldest churches. Feeling more confident now with your Vespa, it's time for some more challenging roads as you leave the crowds and traffic behind and take to the narrow lanes between castles and villas, through ancient olive groves and vineyards. There are plenty of stops for photos and if two people...

The highlight of our trip to Italy! The guide was so fun and funny, we felt safe and prepared, and the route we took was perfect and incredibly beautiful. Grazie mille!

  • Tuscany 6-Hour Vespa Tour with Traditional Lunch

    2. Tuscany 6-Hour Vespa Tour with Traditional Lunch

Enjoy a 6-hour Tuscany Vespa Tour that provides you the perfect opportunity to experience the beautiful Tuscan countryside in a more personal way. After a 20-minute transfer from Florence, you’ll arrive at the Fattoria di Lavacchio, an organic farm that produces it's own wine, olive oil, and grows its own fruits and vegetables. The fattoria is located in the famous Chianti Rufina region, home to the world-renowned Ruffino wine. The Vespa tour begins with a guided ride through the picturesque winding roads of the Tuscan countryside followed by a delicious traditional Tuscan lunch accompanied by fine Chianti wine.

35 min bus ride from the shop leaves right at the scheduled tour time (10am). About 12 people were signed up for our activity, so we were split between two buses. Our driver/guide/business owner Dejan was hysterical. He has aspiration of being a stand up comedian, and has the chops to do so. Once we arrived at a winery in Fiano, Tuscany, the group was given a lengthy intro on Vespa riding, then was split into two groups based on skill. Our group road around the country side first for about 45 min, then took our tour of the winery while the other group rode. Together, we had home cooked lunch (great, and well equipped to accommodate a Celiac) and tried a Rosé and a red wine produced by the winery. Van back to town arrived around 3:40, and offered to drop us anywhere we wanted. Note that there is very little Vespa riding (40-45 min of 5.5 hour trip), but it’s really pretty and fun to floor it on strait aways! Totally fine for brand new drivers or experienced one,

We really enjoyed our day. Lucky to be with pleasant people. I failed the Vespa test... so we took a mini Fiat that was seriously antique! There were three flip switches and an ashtray where our radios and GPS are now. For us, this added to the adventure. I wish I could show the pictures! My only request is to offer water at check in and before the last stop. It would be an added touch. All three stops were great! I will define recommend it.

An overall fantastic experience. Grazia was a first class guide, as were the staff at the wineries. Great care taken to ensure everyone was able to correctly operate the Vespa, so safety was a priority. The Vespa’s were all relatively new and we had no issues at all. The two wineries were both excellent examples of small production enterprises and the wine tastings and food were great. At Fattoria Bagnolo we were fortunate to have the owner (Giovanna) share her experiences and family history, which dates back hundreds of years. Highly recommended!

As to say, you won't be in Florence but outside of it and that just makes it even better. You'll get several panoramic views of Florence, cruise around little beautiful country roads with a guide at the top of their game. We had an amazing experience, the food setting was just perfect after our rounds and the vespas always put a smile on your face. Props to Christian!! Totally worth every minute of it!

I ride a very funny Vespa in the Impruneta area! Our guide Cristian was really helpful; highly recommended experience both individually and in pairs :-)
