Wroclaw Small Group Walking Tour

1. Wroclaw Small Group Walking Tour

Join your (very) small guided tour at the Wroclaw Cathedral to explore Wrocław. Learn about its unique location on the Odra River with 12 islands connected and 130 bridges. This makes it very similar to Venice but much less crowded and more manageable. Enjoy its idyllic riverside  parks and its beautifully preserved Cathedral Island which is a treat for lovers of Gothic architecture. Follow your guide through winding maze of cobblestoned lanes, church spires and vibrantly colored buildings. This is the district where you’ll find most of the city’s historical monuments and medieval architecture so our walking tour will focus on this area. Admire the Town Hall and the Cathedral that overlooks the Market Square. Take in the impressive sight, with the decorative doorways and many spires and carved gargoyles looking down. Wander the narrow streets around the cathedral to see things like the Hansel & Gretel Houses, Ostrow Tumski and Centennial Hall. Pass stately town homes as you walk through cobblestoned streets and squares, hearing about Wroclaw's history and architecture dating back to the medieval ages. Settle in for the last part of your tour discovering the Jewish neighborhood, Turnski Bridge, University and the Old City Prison. There  are plenty of photo-worthy sights along the walk, so keep your camera handy especially when you see one of the 300 gnomes scattered throughout the city, with more appearing all the time.

Our very first Tram Tour proved to be a fascinating and unique experience and very informative of many interesting places to visit in Wroclaw. The guide was excellent and the tram driver drove the old tram through many streets changing the tram rail points on numerous occasions by having to get off the tram with a lever!

The tour (cruise) was somewhat on the short side, but beautiful. The (private) guide, an older lady, was great!! She told a lot about the (war) history of Wroclaw, which I personally found very interesting.

We were a group of 12 people and had booked the small tram. It was a great and informative tour. The tram was heated and everyone had a seat. We can recommend this tour.

An interesting tour through Wroclaw with many highlights and a nice guide.
