Itinerary We will meet at the indicated time in the main square of Trujillo, and from there we will go to the archaeological site of the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Next to the remains of these ancient huacas or sanctuaries, we will learn what society was like in the Trujillo Valley during the pre-Columbian Moche period. We will continue the tour visiting the Huaca del Arco Iris, also known as Huaca del Dragon. In this archaeological site we will explain the beliefs and traditions of another pre-Columbian people: the members of the Chimu culture. We will also stop in front of the stelae and murals found in this site to try to decipher their dragons and other sacred forms carved in adobe. The next stop will take place in Huanchaco, a picturesque fishing village where we will see its traditional fishing boats, the Caballitos de Totora. In this fishing town we will leave you free time for lunch. After lunch we will visit the ancient citadel of Chan Chan, built by the Chimúes. Today, this great complex, declared a World Heritage Site, is the largest adobe city in the Americas. During the tour of this architectural jewel, we will visit the walls of Nik An, the ceremonial squares, the granaries and the ancient cemeteries. At the end of the guided tour of Chan Chan we will return to the main square of Trujillo, where we will arrive at 6:00 pm.

Enter inside the Museum of Cao and admire ancient objects. Discover the mystery of the mummy unearthed in this fantastic complex, The Lady of Cao, which is circa 1,700 years old. The mummy has been well-preserved due to an ancestral ritual. Afterward, make a last stop at the small town of Magdalena de Cao, located 5 kilometers from the El Brujo complex, and taste a traditional drink known as chicha de jora. The fermentation process lasts 1 year under ancestral methods. Later, head back to the city of Trujillo for drop-off.

Once there, begin with the Huacas de Moche Museum, where you can appreciate archaeological remain exhibited in three rooms. Itinerary The tour starts at 2:00 pm, we will meet at the Plaza de Armas in Trujillo to go to the Casa Campo Alcor, a center dedicated to the breeding and care of Peruvian horses. Peruvian Paso horses are characterized by their particular way of walking sideways, known as paso llano. We will have the opportunity to watch a show of these horses led by their "chalanes", as the Paso Paso horse riders are known, while we enjoy the majesty and harmony of their trot. We will also have the opportunity to see a marinera show, the national dance of Peru, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Nation.0 The marinera with Peruvian Paso horses is one of the great tourist attractions of Trujillo and this region of the country. It is performed in pairs and accompanied by music while the dancers and riders dressed in typical costumes show their graceful and elegant movements. After the show, which will last between 30 and 45 minutes, we will return to Trujillo, and we will say goodbye at 4:00 p.m. at the same point of departure. Located in the Moche Valley in the coastal desert near Trujillo, these archaeological complexes were built by the Moche civilizations. The Huaca del Dragon was a religious monument, administrative and ceremonial center, and it has amazing murals. Chan Chan is a pre-Columbian adobe city, and it was declared as a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1986.
