The Captain (viking decendent🥰) and his crew (Christian and Victor) were super friendly. We were briefed about our trip and the safety precedure as soon as we depart the pier. There were free flow snacks and drinks to keep our tummies happy. We stopped few places to see eagles. Then Christian demonstrated to us how to use the fishing rods. Some of us managed to catch some fish which our Caption filleted, and handed over to Victor, our chef, to cook. On our way back we were served with delicious fish soup. Overall, it was an awesome experience and we would highly recommend anyone coming to Tromso to try it!

This was an amazing experience and everyone on the crew was so welcoming. Holly and Ida made sure to check on everyone throughout the trip, sharing safety info, fishing tips, and wildlife and historical facts. Hot drinks were provided and a fish stew was made using fish caught on board. They also provided thermal suits for the cold. The fjords were some of the most unique and beautiful things I’ve gotten to see and everyone really made this trip special. I would definitely do it all again!

Full description

Experience the extraordinary scenery around the region of Tromsø aboard our boats. Cruise out onto the Arctic Sea and around the beautiful fjords and straits of the region. Along the way, enjoy a delicious fish soup, hot drinks, and snacks. Benefit from pickup at a meeting point in the city center of Tromsø and walk aboard one of our boats "Capella" or "Polar Adventure". Settle down in a warm cabin, or make use of the insulated bodysuits to stay on deck and admire the views. Experience the wildlife of the Tromsø region as you keep a lookout for birds such as sea eagles, guillemots, and eider ducks. Encounter puffins (in season), cormorants and otters. Keep your camera positioned at all times for some incredible photo opportunities. See small pilot whales and dolphins playing in the water. Look to the shoreline to spot reindeer, and take in the flora and fauna of Tromsø in all its diversity.  You will also get to try your fishing luck, as the crew will show you our best fishing places on the route. If you do not want to fish, you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery. Then, journey back to Tromsø harbor, where your fantastic polar tour ends.

This was a nice cruise that includes a little bit of fishing. There are only 8 fishing rods available to be shared by everyone which is a negative. There was probably only a total of 1 hr to actually fish. My husband caught a Pollock. I caught a large cod just by its cheek as it was trying to eat a smaller fish on my hook. It took a lot effort to reel it in and as the deckhand was pulling the line up with his hands it fell off. There needs to be a net or jaff onboard for deckhands to help get caught fish onto the boat!! The wildlife we saw were seagulls, eagles, and herons. The fish soup was lovely (a bit spicy). There were a few fish caught (cod and Pollock), but most were too small and had to be tossed back in. The bit of fish that were caught were put in the soup. I'm glad they included some salmon in case no one caught any fish. I do wish there was more time to actually fish.
