The fact that the dogs looked very well cared for and had a retirement plan. Guides clearly cared about them too.
Literally my highlight of my whole trip! Transport was comfortable, all the warm clothing and boots were provided (I still wore my own underneath but ended up sweating). The safety instructions were clear and thorough. The welfare of the animals was top priority and the dogs were happy to get to run and do what they were built to do. It helped that it was a beautiful snowy day, the route was scenic and gorgeous and breathtaking. You share a sledge in pairs and swap over roles halfway through. If you are solo then they will pair you up! Parents have to drive their child the whole way around. Suitable for all fitness levels but you need to be able to hold yourself on the back of the sledge and operate the breaks with your feet so need a bit of core strength! I had a strap on my phone which provided a bit of extra security when taking pics so could be a good idea for others. Would definitely recommend!!!

- This dog sledding ride has been carefully created as an activity accessible for most of you. Although you will need basic physical fitness walking around on snowy terrain and assisting the dogs on pushing the sled, the terrain is quite flat and open making the sledding comfortable and easy.
