Full description
Join us in our shop by the harbour for a meet and greet with your guide. Enjoy hot drinks and a safety briefing on the night’s weather conditions and a brief presentation video on the aurora. It’s a good idea to go to the restroom before we leave as toilet facilities are not always available.
Your guide will take you to our comfortable Mercedes Sprinter where you driver will be waiting for you.
During the drive, your guide will entertain you with stories and fun facts about Northern Norway and the aurora. Then it’s time to put on the warm thermal suit provided (be sure to bring your own shoes, hat, mittens, thick socks and wollen underlayers). When we find a convenient spot, we’ll light a campfire and serve hot drink, and then enjoy an evening under the starry sky with: photography of the group and photography tips if you are interested, storytelling of myths and legends and admiring the aurora.
Depending on the conditions, we might change spots to have the best view.
A light meal is served.
The tour is about 6-7 hours, it depends how far we need to drive to see the aurora. When we have enjoyed the Northern Lights, we will drive back and drop you off safely at your central hotel. If you are in a airbnb we can book you for a taxi.
