See the sights of Tokyo from the comfort and convenience of a coach on a sightseeing tour with bay cruise and optional lunch. Marvel at attractions and eclectic neighborhoods, such as the Imperial Palace, Asakusa, Tsukiji, Tokyo Bay, and Odaiba.
What to Expect
Enjoy an ultimate orientation tour of Tokyo on a sightseeing excursion by air-conditioned coach. Stop to look at many of the city’s must-see landmarks, such as the Imperial Palace and Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa. Drive past the Tsukiji Fish Market, and take a cruise around Tokyo Bay.
Depart at 08:30 from the meeting point in Shinjuku. Drive by Kabuki-cho and the Koshu-kaido Highway to see the Hanzo-mon Gate, National Theater, Supreme Court of Japan, National Diet Building and Kasumigaseki.
Upon arrival at the Imperial Palace East Garden, enjoy approximately 40 minutes to stroll the traditional Japanese garden and see its characteristic structures from the Edo era. If the East Garden is closed, you will visit the Imperial Palace Outer Garden and Niju-bashi Bridge instead.
Continue to diverse neighborhoods, such as the commercial center of Marunouchi. Discover the site of some of the great Shinto festivals of Tokyo in Kanda. Pass through the vibrant electronic goods shopping area of Akihabara. Go to Ueno (Ame-Yoko Market), and Kappa-bashi Market.
At Asakusa, you will spend about 50 minutes around the historic structures such as the Kaminari-mon Gate and Senso-ji Temple. Continue past the Tokyo Sky Tree, and see the headquarters of Asahi Beer. Other attractions in the area include the sumo wrestling arena of Ryogoku Kokugikan and the business district and historic bridge of Nihon-bashi.
Next, go to the fish market at Tsukiji, which prides itself on selling the world's best fish. Drive by Hamarikyu Gardens, before taking a short cruise of Tokyo Bay. Pass the Rainbow Bridge, before stopping at Odaiba to visit the first shopping complex of Tokyo at Aqua City. A buffet lunch at a restaurant with a great view is optional on booking (please advise of any dietary requests or restrictions in advance), and if you select the tour without lunch you can eat as you please anywhere in Odaiba.
At the end of the tour, enjoy a drop off at one of the six selected drop off locations: Odaiba; Ginza; Tokyo Tower; Shibuya; Omotesando/Harajuku; or Shinjuku.
