  • Have the rare chance to interact with sumo wrestler
  • Explore the local streets on a walking tour of the city
  • Learn behind-the-scene sumo stories
  • Discover the sumo world and their everyday life
Overview
This is a special tour where sumo wrestler will guide you two historical towns - Ryogoku (sumo town) and Asakusa (popular historical town). Experience this rare and unique walking tour!
What to Expect
This is the only program where you can walk with sumo wrestler. You can certainly ask any question to sumo wrestler, so this is a perfect chance to know behind-the-scene stories of sumo and wrestler's everyday life.

On your tour you visit Ryogoku kokugikan with the stadium where sumo tournament is held and the Sumo stable (weekdays only) as well as the Sumo goods shop. You can also explore the Sumo museum (weekdays only). Ryogoku is known for sumo town and there are sumo wrestlers walking in town with yukata wearing. Sumo tournaments are held 6 times a year and the tournament is held at Ryogoku kokugikan in January, May, and September. You will have a chance to see sumo wrestlers in Ryougoku if you are lucky, but when it comes to actually speaking and touching sumo wrestlers, this Beauty Of Japan program is the only one.

You then walk through Asakusa Nakamise street to enjoy shopping and eat traditional snacks. Asakusa is the center of Tokyo's shitamachi (literally "low city"), one of Tokyo's districts, where an atmosphere of the Tokyo of past decades survives. Asakusa's main attraction is Sensoji, a very popular Buddhist temple, built in the 7th century. The temple is approached via the Nakamise, a shopping street that has been providing temple visitors with a variety of traditional, local snacks and tourist souvenirs for centuries. The route can be changed or added upon request if not too far.
