Embark on an adventurous day trip with a dhow cruise along the Kenyan coast. Benefit from hotel transfers from Diani Beach, Tiwi, Mombasa, Shanzu, or Mtwapa. Enjoy a blend of natural beauty, marine life encounters, seafood flavors, cultural experiences, and historical insights. Begin your day with a dhow cruise, a traditional Arabian sailing vessel, to the waters of the Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park. As you glide through the azure waters, keep your eyes peeled for playful dolphins leaping alongside the boat, providing an exhilarating display of their aquatic prowess. Upon arrival at the marine park, be greeted by a vibrant underwater world teeming with marine life and coral formations. Snorkel in the crystal-clear waters, experiencing the wonders beneath the surface. Swim among tropical fish and turtles, and encounter rays or reef sharks if you’re lucky. After your aquatic adventures, sail to Wasini Island. Savor a seafood lunch featuring the fresh catch of the day. Following lunch, take a stroll through the village on Wasini Island, interacting with the friendly residents and gaining insight into the local culture and way of life. You can also choose to take a tour of the Shimoni slave caves, a historical site offering a glimpse into the region's dark past. As the day draws to a close, board the dhow once again. On the cruise back to the mainland, relish the picturesque coastal scenery one last time, cherishing the beauty of the Kenyan coastline as the sun sets. Finally, get dropped off at your hotel.

We will meet at the starting point and cross Kongo River. The trip takes place during low tide so crossing the river is as easy as crossing a small gentle stream. We will take an easy , slow , scenic 10minutes motor bike ride through beautiful Tiwi, you get to have a feel of how the local community lives in this area, during the ride. Everyone gets their own personal motorbike with a well trained rider to make it more comfortable and fun. We will then take a 10min BEACH walk to the African pool from where the motorbike leaves us. On the walk we will pass through significant caves and cliffs, with different shapes and forms carved by the ocean waves continously slapping on them during high tide. You will notice lots of smaller pools that are home to tiny colouful fish and exotic sea life such as sea spiders, the red crab, sea urchins and sea cucumber. Almost feels like a natural aquarium. At the African pool we will swim and soak in the sun for about an hour before heading back to the starting point If you are daring enough you could climb up the nearby cliffs and dive into the pool. The pool is only accessible during low tide so please reach out to get the correct timings for your dates before booking I do have a co host (Sudi) , either of us may host this trip depending on who is available

Learn about the Portuguese and Arab influences and the fort's role in the region's maritime trade. 12:30 pm: Mombasa Old Town Next, venture into the historic Mombasa Old Town. Take a guided walking tour through its narrow streets lined with Swahili-style architecture, vibrant markets, and colourful buildings. Immerse yourself in the cultural heritage, visit local shops, and learn about the traditions and customs of the area. 1:30 pm: Optional Lunch in Old Town Take a break for lunch in one of the local restaurants in Mombasa Old Town. Indulge in traditional Swahili cuisine, such as biryani, pilau, or fresh seafood dishes. Enjoy the flavours while taking in the ambiance of this charming neighbourhood. 3 pm: Haller Park Tour After lunch, head to Haller Park, a unique wildlife sanctuary and nature reserve. Explore the park's trails, where you can encounter giraffes, zebras, hippos, and a variety of bird species. Take a guided tour to learn about the conservation efforts and the park's reforestation projects. 5 pm: Return to your hotel Bid farewell to Mombasa's attractions as you travel back to your hotel. It is a site to behold, as the pool includes a representation of the island of Madagascar The secluded pool is described as one of the magnificent wonders of the nation. It is visible in low tides when you can distinctly see the African map. According to some residents, tourists go to the pool for therapy, and others see it as a sacred shrine. Tourists visiting the area, are advised to ask for a guide for safety since it is far from the main road. They are also advised to wear beach shoes to avoid the numerous sea urchins. Adding to the picturesque site is a cliff next to the pool where divers practice their swimming skills. Reportedly, you can swim through a cave from East Africa to Madagascar.
