Start with a walking tour of Tirana, heading to Skanderbeg Square. In front of it you can see the Clock Tower with its spiral stairs.
Next, you will see the Et’hem Beu Mosque, home to frescoes depicting nature scenes. Pass by the National Library and continue on a tour of the National Historic Museum. You may also be interested in a trip to the National Gallery of Arts.
Leaving Tirana, make your way to Kruja, located 40 minutes away. Kruja is notable for its stony streets and traditional buildings. Take at tour of the local castle and see the National Museum dedicated to Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg. Consider visiting the Ethnographic Museum of Kruja as well.
Then take a step away from the history and immerse yourself in the Albanian traditions and lifestyle by visiting the bazaar. Walk along the street, checking out the wooden buildings, cafes, and souvenir and antique shops.
Finally, make your way to Durres, the second largest city in Albania and the largest port. Here you can see historical sites, such as the Archaeological Museum, Ahmet Zogu's Villa, or the Museum of History. Relax and enjoy a nice coffee near the beach area before returning to Tirana.
