Founded in 1614, Tirana is now a developed city which combines vibrant culture, history, and contemporary architecture. Start the morning off with a visit to the city center to Skanderbeg Square, where you will see the statue of Skanderbeg, Albania's national hero, and the city's Clock Tower, measuring in at over 35 meters.
Next, visit the intricate Et’hem Beu Mosque, whose frescos of trees, waterfalls and bridges are considered a rarity in Islamic art, and then make your way past the National Library to the nearby National Historic Museum. Enter the museum to explore its captivating collection, and then continue to Tirana's National Art Gallery to explore the world of Albanian art.
After your museum visits, proceed to the beautiful Dajti Mountain, using a cable car to climb over 1,600 meters and enjoying breathtaking views of the city during the 15-minute ride. After spending some time in the lush forest of Dajti Mountain, return to Tirana in the late afternoon.
