What People Are Saying About Tirana
The Company fee was a bit High. Our tourguide(driver) was informative about the area and Albania in generel. He was caring about us, and showed all That could be interesting for us. We stopped at nice places, to rest and walk.
The tour of the National History Museum, which takes about an hour, is very informative, albeit that it only really scratches the surface. As the exhibits have very clear English explanations, it would be well worth spending more time on one's own. Most of the important sites are within close proximity of Skanderbeg Square, but the walking tour is still worth doing for the explanations and to enable one to get one's bearings.
I was so interested in visiting Apollonia because it is a place with historical connotations as it was one of the places where Aristotle was! The attached restaurant is original, you can drink or eat and meditate on the unique landscape, however the toilet is a little bit primitive upstairs. The museum and the church are fully worthwhile visiting! Later, the monastery in the nearby was shown by tour guide Bledar Jubani, who did a very good job in explaining many of the Albanian stuff.
