Brisbane is considered one of the largest cities in the world in terms of size but is a modest and walkable city of 2 million inhabitants. Brisbane was named after the river that bathes the entire city. The modern buildings and express boulevards represent the city's rapid development over the years and it´s eclectic diversity. Beautiful Brisbane is famous for its parks and leisure areas, where you can spend time with family and friends. A local typically Australian custom is to use these spaces to have an outdoor barbecue or to just relax and watch the world go by. Our specialist will wait at your centrally located hotel to begin the walking tour of the city's most intriguing attractions. We'll first pass the old windmill and the historic Brisbane Arcade with its beautiful Victorian-era architecture. We will next visit King George Square and see Brisbane's second city hall. On the way to the older Queensland Treasury Building (now Treasury Casino), we will stroll through Brisbane's oldest alleyway to learn about the past of Brisbane's convicts who gave rise to this amazing city. We'll also get a glimpse of Brisbane's emerging street art scene. Next, we will head to the City Botanic Gardens, located in the southeast of the Brisbane River Peninsula, home to Brisbane's Central Business District. And we will pass The Wheel of Brisbane, which is 60 meters (almost 200 feet) high and was erected in 2008 at the northern entrance to South Bank Parklands. We will continue passing by the Queensland Parliament House and learn a little about the building's unique history. Arriving at Reddacliff Place, you will arrive in one of the original settlement places of Brisbane and learn a little more about its fascinating history. Your local expert will next lead you to the river boat guide allowing you to enjoy an amazing one hour cruise up and down the Brisbane River. Here you will sit back and relax as you leisurely cruise along Brisbane's calm waterways, taking in the beautiful views of the city and surrounding suburbs. Enjoy the sights including the surrounding City Riverside, Kangaroo Point, The Story Bridge, The Powerhouse, and other historic famous landmarks. In the afternoon the itinerary is reversed, starting with the cruise and ending with the guide leaving you at the central hotel. Boarding point: Cultural Center Public Jetty, Cultural Center Boardwalk, South Brisbane QLD 4101, Australia

A nice combination of a river cruise, a ride on the Ferris wheel and lunch. Overall, the combo is recommended. The only drawback: at lunch you have to queue up and get your own drinks, which can take a while, and not all of the restaurant's dishes are included, only selected dishes, but these are minor details. It didn't bother us. The Wheel of Brisbane is great and the river boat trip is very informative.

Activities were rather in a rush. Tania is very good in her role, patient, helpful and professional. She helped to bring us to other locations as we are a small group of 4, naturally the tour ended early. It would have been good if more time is given for the sightseeing. Well done, Tania! Thanks for taking us around.

The morning tea provided was just scones and coffee/tea. The cruise was very informative and relaxing otherwise. After the cruise, you have to be independent, as all they give you for the lunch and Ferris wheel is paper with instructions.

the information about Brisbane, if we could have heard it, the large group on the tour made it impossible, they were very loud and rude.

We had a great city tour of Brisbane. Very friendly and knowledgeable guide. I highly recommend the tour.
