The Segway tour was a great way to get introduced to Washington DC. I thought the tour was a good half hour to an hour too long. Maybe make it two hours and charge $55 bucks. Thanks!
This Segway Tour of Washington DC is fantastic. The guide is very knowledgable. The Segway's are fun and allow you to travel long distances quickly yet stop and see sights as if walking. I highly recommend this Segway Tour.
Analise, our guide, was friendly, informative, and energetic. The segways were fun, safe and an efficient ways to get around DC and see the monuments close up.
I worried about being too old (75) to do this. It was easy to get the hang of balancing. Just be sure to remember to follow instructions about getting off. Hope to find this method of travel in other cities instead of walking. Sure beats the bus for really experiencing the area.
We started out looking at a training movie and then had a training session on the segway so that we felt comfortable proceeding. We started slowly and then felt safe going along bike paths, sidewalks, and then on the streets. We got to stop and learn interesting details about each attraction, take pictures, or have our pictures taken, with no rush. One person got separated from us because of a light, and the guide stopped us and went back to assist him. She was an excellent guide.
