Full description
Take this tour of Terezin, the site of the notorious concentration camp run by the Nazis during their occupation of Czechoslovakia. With an expert guide you’ll visit the Memorial of National Martyrdom, built in memory of the victims of Nazi political and racial persecution during World War II. This is the only such site of its kind in the Czech Republic. You’ll also visit the small fortress which served as a prison for the Prague Gestapo. As you explore the site, you’ll learn about the persecution of the Czech nation by the Nazi regime and the fates of Czech prisoners transferred to other concentration camps within Nazi Germany’s Third Reich. Lastly, you’ll see the Ghetto Museum, which was opened in 1991 in the building that housed the former Terezín School. The Museum’s exhibits were arranged with the assistance of former prisoners of the Terezín Ghetto.

Excellent

Fantastic tour and our guide Eva was very very good and very knowledgeable. She ensured we had an English speaking guide when we arrived at the camp. Eva explained all the activities that were planned and ensured we understood and were happy with everything. Highly recommend this tour and company Thank you very much

Humbling tour that should be seen

This tour was a sad one to see but a must. This is the real deal. People suffered here and it's an experience that we should all know about so hopefully it doesn't occur again. Our first tour guide was good and knowledgeable. The second tour guide at the camp was excellent.

Moving and heartbreaking. Fabulous guide on site.

This was a very difficult, but in our opinion, essential visit to be made. Petr, our guide at the camp, was excellent. Very warm, friendly and informative. The guide who took us to the site and back to the centre of Prague, however, was an entirely different matter but this is not the place to detail this. We shall be privately contacting the company who booked him to discuss this. All in all, an absolute must go trip. The subject matter was, of course, harrowing and the tears flowed but we would have felt our trip was incomplete if we had not paid our respects to the thousands of innocents who died here in such an atrocious way. Goosebumps throughout. All in all, an absolute must go trip.
