Full description

After picking you up in the selected location, you will visit the largest national park in the Canary Islands and experience a volcanic landscape of unrivaled beauty with your Mount Teide cable car ticket. Forget the car and contribute to a sustainable Teide. By choosing group transport, you’ll help to beat overcrowding in the vehicle parking zones inside the national park which, as a conservation measure, are small and unsuitable for expansion. From the base station, board the cable car for the 8-minute ride up to the highest peak in Spain. The cable car’s upper station, at 3,555 meters, is the point of departure for 3 interesting trails for hiking enthusiasts. There are paths to Pico Viejo Lookout and La Fortaleza Lookout, where you’ll have spectacular views of the north and south of the island. The Telesforo Bravo path leads to the highest point of the volcano, at an altitude of 3,718 meters. To visit the peak you must apply for a permit in advance.

Booked this online as afternoon activity. Day before got pick up detail as 8.10 a.m., which was fine asI would prefer earlier start. Bus arrived 2 mins early. Which was fine as we were there early. Pleasant route to cable car station. A couple of stops on the way. One at cafe. Second at rocks in National park ( could go to another restaurant or explore rocks. Super cable car ride with great views. Had about two hours at mountain plenty of time to explore trails. Journey back on different route so saw more of the island. Whole day a super and unforgettable experience. One young girl did suffer altitude symptoms as cable car covers about 1,000 metres in 8 mins, but most people seemed fine.

great visit The views are spectacular. The bus ride was very entertaining because the guide explained the surroundings at all times. The personnel is very friendly. I would only add another guide for the paths that are made on foot when you go up. Since, once you get on the cable car, they leave you free to visit the area for about 2.5 hours and for my taste, it would be much more helpful if they explained it to you. The last 300 meters cannot be visited unless you request permission a couple of months in advance. But in general, to climb with children. Very well. Totally recommended.

Our guide Christian did a great tour with us in three languages and we had a great time. Although it was a bit disappointing at first that the cable car was not running because of the wind, there was a spontaneous reaction when the news came around noon that the cable car was running. The barrachito at the first stop was also very tasty. Gladly again... Michael and Barbara
