Full description

Embark on a full-day guided trip to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv. Visit highlights in the new and old cities, including the Wailing Wall, Via Dolorosa, Mt. Zion, and Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum. Hear the city's history from your guide. You will leave with a comprehensive overview of the city, having walked in the quarters of the Old City, continue to the poignant, Holocaust Museum for the later part of the day. Start at the Mount of Olives to take in a panoramic view of the dusty city below. Then enter the Old City and tour the main attractions, such as the Wailing Wall, Temple Mount and the Dome of the Rock. Walk through the Jewish and Armenian Quarters and the recently restored Roman road of The Cardo, visible on Jewish Quarter Street. Visit the bazaar and the Western Wall, or Kotel, and proceed along the Via Dolorosa to visit the Church of Holy Sepulcher, also known as Church of the Resurrection and said to be the place where Jesus is buried and was resurrected. Ascend to Mt. Zion. On Saturdays you can visit the Hall of the Last Supper and David's Tomb. Continue to the new city by car and spend some time at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum. The sprawling complex contains several sections, but it is the Museum that draws thousands of visitors ever since it opened in 2005. The beautiful building stands in contrast to the horrific story told within. You will also want to see the Hall of Remembrance and the Hall of Names before your return journey to Tel Aviv.

The tour guide Mr. Itamar was well knowledgeable and shared it to us, I learned a lot from him on this tour. I give him a five star rating being a good tour guide and a good driver too who take us back to Tel Aviv. I even recommended your tour company to my friends after they asked me about my tour experience.

Really liked this tour, our guide was knowledgeable, the group was a comfortable size and we all got on. There was lots of bus changing and trying to find out which bus you were on first thing - the pick up buses meet up and from then on we had to work out which bus was doing the tour we are on by going to each guide in turn to see if they had us listed. It was really off putting and on another tour with the same company our pick up bus guide just told us who our tour guide was for the day, described them and said what bus number to look for. SO much simpler. Why couldn't this have been done on this trip? Ridiculous and stressful first thing. And its the only reason I've not scored 5 and only 4 because apart from this the trip was great and I would recommend. It finished about 3 which I wasn't expecting (I think something wasn't open which was out of the guides control), but I was surprised how tired I was when we got back. If you overlook the bus faffing it was a really good day.

It was a very good tour, and there was nothing wrong with the organization either. It would have taken a little more time at Yad Vashem. But here it makes sense to visit the memorial again separately. The stop in a shop for memorabilia and the restaurant reservation was a bit annoying. We didn't buy anything there, you can get everything cheaper in the area and we didn't go to the restaurant either. We had the feeling that our guide didn't like this so much. Otherwise all good.
