What to Expect
Israel's northern coast is home to ancient Roman ruins, stunning grottoes and beautiful beaches. This full-day tour takes you through all of the regional highlights, including Caesarea, Haifa, the Baha’i Gardens, Rosh Hanikra and Acre (Acco).

We begin the day in Caesarea, site of the ancient Roman regional capital and port. Named by Herod the Great in honor of Caesar Augustus, Caesarea was one of the most ambitious port-building enterprises of the Roman world.

The ruins are impressive and include a mighty aqueduct and one of the largest amphitheaters of the Roman era. Take a walking tour of the archaeological excavations before continuing up the coast to the Baha’I Gardens at Haifa.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, enjoy the superb views before continuing your journey to Rosh Hanikra, where you will take the cable car to visit the beautiful limestone grottoes on the waterfront. We will also take a peek at Israel’s border with Lebanon, situated right on top of Rosh Hanikra.

Making your way back south, stop in the enchanting port city of Acre, to visit the Crusader underground city and crypt. Acre was the location of a famous Napoleon defeat and is rich in history, as evidenced everywhere within the old city.

Walk through the old city market, bustling with fresh fish, spices, vegetables and more. The market ends at the scenic harbor, where you can watch local children jump into the ocean from the remains of the old city walls.

After walking along the waterfront, return to the coach for the drive back to your hotel in Tel Aviv, Herzeliyah or Jerusalem.
