Tenerife: Mount Teide Tour with Cable Car Ticket & Transfer

1. Tenerife: Mount Teide Tour with Cable Car Ticket & Transfer

Join a day trip from Santa Cruz de Tenerife to Teide National Park, home to Mt. Teide, Spain’s tallest peak at 12,198 feet (3,718 meters). Following pickup from your hotel, head to the park, and explore its lunar landscapes. Take a cable car to the peak and enjoy time at leisure to soak up the views. After getting picked up in the selected location, visit the largest national park in the Canary Islands and experience a volcanic landscape of unrivaled beauty with your Mount Teide cable car ticket. Forget the car and contribute to a sustainable Teide. By choosing group transport, beat overcrowding in the vehicle parking zones inside the national park which, as a conservation measure, are small and unsuitable for expansion. From the base station, board the cable car for the 8-minute ride up to the highest peak in Spain. The cable car’s upper station, at 3,555 meters, is the point of departure for 3 interesting trails for hiking enthusiasts. There are paths to Pico Viejo Lookout and La Fortaleza Lookout, where you’ll have spectacular views of the north and south of the island. The Telesforo Bravo path leads to the highest point of the volcano, at an altitude of 3,718 meters. To visit the peak you must apply for a permit in advance.

Tenerife: Mount Teide Summit Hiking Adventure with Cable Car

3. Tenerife: Mount Teide Summit Hiking Adventure with Cable Car

Take a 3-hour guided hike along one or more of the 30 trails on Mount Teide. The great variety and levels of difficulty make it easy for visitors to choose their ideal route with the recommendations of the guide. The trails with the most spectacular vistas are on the summit of Mount Teide (3,718 meters) and they can be reached from the La Rambleta starting point (accessible by cable car) followed by trail number 10.  Without a doubt the most popular trail is the one leading to the volcano's peak, but there are limits on how many people can visit that area of Teide. You will be provided with an official guide, who will prepare you for the hike and accompany you along the route to provide commentary on the spectacular natural landscapes.

It was all very well organized (pick-up service, cable car access and the guide who accompanied us to the top). Super nice people. On the way by bus to Mount Teide we also stopped at a nice coffee shop where we could buy something tasty. The road to the top was a bit steeper than expected so I was very happy that I had good shoes on. We went in February, so some warmer clothing was necessary. This activity is definitely recommended!

The walk up to Teide was excellent and our guide - Benjamin an absolute star. It would have been nice if we had had some free time to explore the other walks from the cable car base station. It all felt a bit rushed.

Informative and breath taking. We knew what was happening at each stage. Shame we couldn't get to the very top.

Beautiful excursion, it is highly recommended. You should definitely do this when you visit Tenerife.

The guide Luz is charming, the driver is a good professional, I recommend doing this excursion.
