I really enjoyed the time spent there. There are three hours of good music, food and interaction with the staff (who is amazing). If you really like operetta (for any reasons they call it there "zarzuela") just go for this activity, which is a show combined with exquisite dinner. The singers, desguised in waiters, perform a selection of the best areas from well known operettas, moving around customers' tables.
Restaurante La Castafiore does not disappoint, although if you get there too early, you may wonder if you’re in the right place. They are setting-up. I found the food to be excellent, but obviously, the crew of singing servers is the real attraction. They are all wonderful people, and trained performers with amazing voices. A truly fun evening!
This show was a second-best as the Professional Zarzuela show was fully booked. The singers were good and many of the tunes familiar. Because the restaurant was small and intimate, we got a good look - and hear - of what was going on. The meal was good - although our booking didn't give us many choices - and a bottle of wine was included.
Food was well presented , tasty and delivered in a timely fashion . Waiter was pleasant and engaged with us . The singers who performed excellently and also engaged well with the patrons leading to a very enjoyable relaxed evening.
It was a wonderful experience, however, keep in mind that they only speak Spanish. So if you don’t understand the language, you’ll still enjoy the show but not entirely.
