Oceane Cruises Mauritius Ile aux Benitiers: Full Day Cruise
- Duration: 6 hours
Step aboard the catamaran and look up at the Black River mountain range and the mythical Morne Mountain, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the calm blue waters of the West, complete relaxation awaits. Depart from The Morne Anglers Club at 9:15 AM and head to Tamarin Bay. Here, you can try to spot the dolphins. Then, take a leisurely sail in direction of Crystal Rock and stop on the way for some snorkeling and swimming next to the coral reef. Once you arrive at Crystal Rock, you may have another swim while the crew is preparing a delicious BBQ. After lunch, you will be able to spend 40 minutes discovering Ilot Benitier. There is a tender boat at your disposal to take you to the island. Sail back to the Black River and arrive at approximately 3:30 PM.
The tour is excellent. The crew is fantastic, polite. Dolphins, snorkeling, cristal rock, beach and nice navigation, all was perfect. If you are in the east coast, take your time because traffic could be terrible!
After boarding and the captain's briefing, you will set sail to enjoy magnificent views of the island. Admire the glorious sunset for which the West coast of Mauritius is known for. The catamaran will drop anchor for the night in the lagoon of Ile aux Benitiers, with Le Morne Brabant in the backdrop. Dinner will be served and then you will have free time before going to bed. The following morning a delicious breakfast will be served. It is then entirely up to the guests if they want to go for another sail or stay in the lagoon for the whole day to relax and enjoy the sun, tan on the sun loungers or on the trampolines or go for a snorkel. After a delicious BBQ lunch the vessel will return to the marina.
Experience marine life and get a chance at underwater encounters on a dive for qualified divers around Tamarin, Mauritius. Marvel at various reef fishes and, if you’re lucky, see eagle rays, stingrays, green turtles, and possibly dolphins. Arrive at the diving center, then proceed to filling out forms and getting equipped for your dive. Get briefed on the way to the dive spot, then start your underwater adventure. There is sometimes the option to do two dives in a day. After your dive, head back to the diving center.
Be prepared for an incredible morning of diving. After arriving at the diving center, fill out medical forms, and learn about safety precautions before the dive begins. Get equipped and have a briefing about dive equipment and basic exercises. This will give you an opportunity to get familiar the activity, ask questions, and learn more about scuba diving. Your first dive is done in the swimming pool to help you get acquainted with breathing underwater with the all your equipment. Next, board the boat to go to the dive sites and get ready for an underwater adventure. A short exploration is done under constant supervision of the dive instructor, where many reef fish can be seen. After your dive, board the boat and head back to the dive center.
Superbra upplevelse. Det gick snabbt och smidigt och vi kände oss trygga och välomhändertagna. Ett litet litet minus var att sikten var lite sisådär. Men det var vi beredda på då det är den säsongen. Så i det hela var det tipptopp. Så stort tack från Sverige!
Get certified as a diver through the PADI Open Water Diver Course. Gain the skills and knowledge needed to independently dive. The course consists of a theory module, a theoretical exam, five swimming pool sessions, and four open water dives. No prior experience of scuba diving is required. Theory module: at the end of each chapter, answer questions about the material to ensure you understand it. At the end of the course, take a final exam that ensures you have a thorough knowledge of scuba diving basics. Learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, and a tank. The equipment you wear varies, depending upon whether you’re diving in tropical, temperate, or cold water. Test your knowledge through plenty of swimming pool sessions and open water dives.
Board the catamaran at La Balise Marina located in Black River at 9:00 AM. Sail towards Tamarin Bay or to Le Morne Brabant peninsula, and try to spot the pods of dolphins who inhabit the area. Stop at a coral reef where you can take some time for snorkeling. See bright corals and a variety of colorful tropical fish. Continue towards the magnificent Ile Aux Benitiers and enjoy a break for lunch onboard (available as an add-on). After lunch, be dropped on Ile Aux Bentiers and explore its beautiful quiet beaches. Sail back towards Black River and be dropped off at the marina at approximately 3:30 PM.

Well organized, procedure explained, whole crew super nice and motivated! Enough choice of drinks, average lunch. Stay on the island too short because only time at souvenir stands (take money) is possible and not for swimming in a quieter corner. Snorkeling should have taken longer BUT despite everything, it was a cool, fun and exciting day !! ... and we saw dolphins :) Despite 23 guests on the catamaran no tight spaces.
Great trip. Well organized from start to finish. Nice crew and very tasty food. We would book this trip again. Only the snorkeling equipment was not very good, we recommend those who have their own to take them with them.
we really enjoyed the day on one boat of Oceane. the crew were awesome: very friendly, grilled a great meal for us and we got a lot of (alcoholic) drinks and snacks.
It was great! The crew was just in a good mood, the beach, the catamaran, the dolphins ... great! Many Thanks
Great day! Crew on top for the atmosphere and respectful Very good and generous meal
